Alzheimer Cafes in South Staffordshire

The Cafes are a monthly get together where people with dementia, their families, carers and friends can come together in a safe environment.

Carers, the cared for, families and friends will be in the company of other carers, volunteers and professionals.  It aims to provide emotional support, information, and the opportunity for discussion for people living with all aspects of dementia.

What you can expect at an Alzheimer Cafe…

  • A friendly welcome and drink on arrival.
  • Opportunity to get to know others and share experiences.
  • Presentation by a professional or organisation covering topics chosen by you.
  • Food and refreshments.
  • Time to socialise, make new friends, and to talk on a one to one basis with professionals.
  • Entertainment, quiz or an activity and a raffle.

The Southern Staffordshire Alzheimer Cafes are run by The Carers Association Southern Staffordshire (CASS).  CASS is an independant organisation providing confidential advice, information and emotional support to carers of any age living within the districts of Cannock Chase, East Staffs, Lichfield, South Staffs, Stafford and Tamworth.
